How to Check an ID

In this lesson I go over what constitutes a legal form of ID, and how to properly check them. You’ll also get a very quick introduction about liquor licenses and who gets in trouble if you serve someone under age. This is important because if you’re ever busted for surving an under age customers, you could instantly owe several thousands of dollar$$$ in fines from ABC agencies, and even criminal charges…not to mention almost certainly your job. Make sure to always stay diligent about underage serving.

    • Issued from an official governing body (e.g., the state that issues your drivers license)
    • Your name
    • Your birthday
    • Your gender
    • Your picture
    • Physical description (height, weight, eye color, hair color)
    • An expiration date (usually)
