The Sloe Gin Fizz is another classic cocktail recipe is not very common. Compounding the issue is that the main ingredient (sloe gin…yes sloe, not slow) is basically extinct at most bars.

If you’re really itching to try one and there isn’t sloe gin for miles around, just substitute regular gin. Blasphemous to some maybe, but to the working bartender it always boils down to doing what you gotta do to make your customer the drink they want.
